Your new company
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large and complex South Australian Government organisation based in Adelaide's CBD. Supporting key operational areas, you will provide high-quality financial advice, reporting and business partnering services to assist informed decision-making and the effective management of budgets and resources. This is an immediate start contract opportunity initially offered for six months. Based on the attached PID, the role involves budget management, financial reporting, costings, strategic planning support, stakeholder engagement and financial analysis.
Your new role
Reporting within a professional finance team, you will:

  • Provide financial reporting, analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor, analyse and manage capital, revenue and recurrent budgets.
  • Prepare costings, business cases and financial modelling.
  • Deliver expert financial advice to managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Undertake budget forecasting, reconciliations and compliance activities.
  • Support projects, change initiatives and operational funding requirements.
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships across a diverse business environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and financial efficiencies.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous South Australian Government finance experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial management experience.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence and partner with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing financial reports, costings and business cases.
  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.

What you'll get in return
