Practice Nurse – Lalor VIC (Permanent, Hourly Rate $40–$50)
Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Practice Nurse to join a busy and supportive general practice located in Lalor VIC 3075. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care including wound management, injections and immunisations, pathology sampling, and basic procedures within scope of practice.
- Deliver chronic disease management support for conditions such as diabetes, COPD, cardiovascular disease, and mental health.
- Contribute to health assessments, care plans, and patient education to support self-management and preventive health behaviors.
- Support population health initiatives including vaccination drives, screening programs, and recall systems.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the practice management system and ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in case conferences where required.
Selection Criteria
- Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Primary care or General Practice.
- Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunisation qualifications or willingness to obtain.
- Sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and contribute positively to a busy practice environment.
- Experience with Best Practice software is preferred.
Remuneration & Conditions
The role offers an hourly rate between $40 and $50, dependent on experience and qualifications, along with access to professional development opportunities. This position is available immediately for a nurse seeking a permanent role in a growth-focused general practice.
