About the Role
Provide high-quality inpatient, outpatient and emergency medical services to the Taroom community and surrounding areas. This role includes 24-hour emergency coverage on a rostered basis, clinical leadership, governance, education, and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient, outpatient and emergency care.
- Participate in on-call, shift and weekend rosters.
- Lead multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Support clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement.
- Manage clinical documentation and referrals.
- Contribute to teaching, supervision and mentoring.
- Participate in community health initiatives.
Essential Criteria
- AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner.
- FACRRM or FRACGP.
- Eligible for Scope of Clinical Practice credentialing.
- Experience in Rural Generalist Medicine.
- Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to clinical governance and ongoing professional development.
- Current C Class Driver Licence.
- Eligible for a Medicare Provider Number.
- Ability to participate in on-call, shift work and travel requirements.
