Lending Support Officer | Settlements | Financial Services

The Operations team are currently seeking experienced Settlements and Lending Support professionals to join the business on a six month temporary basis. This opportunity would suit someone with a strong customer service focus, sharp attention to detail and a genuine interest in retail lending, settlements and loan support, who is available to start at short notice.

The Job…..
Reporting to the Settlements Team Leader or Retail Lending Team Leader, your duties will include:

Settlements

• Assessing loan documents and supporting documentation to ensure they are complete, unaltered and appropriately executed in line with the credit decision
• Verifying client identification in line with KYC, AML and fraud prevention requirements
• Completing settlement checklists and verifying asset status, resolving discrepancies and obtaining PPSR lodgement
• Liaising with the introducer network, RSMs and internal teams including Sales, Documentation and Credit
• Preparing and issuing welcome letters, loan documents and terms and conditions within required post settlement timeframes
• Exercising ongoing vigilance for fraud risk and escalating potential issues as they arise

Lending Support

• Assisting with stakeholder engagement and supporting introducer relationships, including inbound calls and correspondence
• Completing KYC, AML and fraud prevention requirements for retail lending applications
• Providing administrative support to the Retail Lending and Settlements functions in line with agreed SLAs
• Supporting workflow management, including screening and directing calls in line with agreed service metrics
• Contributing to projects and process improvement initiatives across the Retail Operations division

You….
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

• A minimum of 12 months experience in settlements, lending support or loan administration within financial services
• General understanding of retail lending across consumer and commercial product lines
• Sound working knowledge of KYC, AML and responsible lending obligations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Availability to commit to a six month temporary assignment, with flexibility for an immediate or short notice start
