C++ Engineer - Limelight People is partnering with a global technology leader to appoint a highly capable C++ Engineer into its growing Sydney engineering team.
Sydney is a key technology and engineering hub for the business, with a significant pipeline of new projects and continued investment in its engineering capability.
This is an opportunity to work within an established, highly technical engineering function, building some of the most complex, high-performance and real-time software systems in Australia.
You’ll work alongside talented engineers across in AU and globally, solving challenging engineering problems where performance, latency, reliability and scalability matters.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, real-time systems using modern C++
- Build and optimise low-latency, multi-threaded software
- Design, implement, extend and maintain core software functionality
- Collaborate with engineering teams across Australia and globally
- Solve complex performance and systems engineering challenges
- Research new technologies and contribute to the future direction of platforms and systems
- Develop reliable software operating within mission-critical environments
Key Experience Required:
- Modern C++
- Linux
- Multi-threaded / concurrent programming
- Low-latency software development
- High-performance computing and systems engineering
- Real-time or mission-critical software
- Approximately 2–5 years of commercial C++ engineering experience
Experience within gaming, telecommunications, share trading, financial markets, defence, embedded systems or other performance-critical environments is highly regarded.
