KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to help customers find the right products and services.
  • Balance customer experience with store responsibilities and team goals.
  • Develop skills in communication, sales, and teamwork while contributing to a positive store environment.

At Optus, we're helping millions of Australians stay connected to the people, information and experiences that matter most.

We're building a talent community across the Brisbane South store cluster, including Sunnybank, Sunnybank Hills, Garden City and Carindale, for future casual, part-time and full-time opportunities and welcome people at all stages of their career journey.

Every day, customers visit our stores for advice, support and solutions that help them stay connected to what matters most. Some know exactly what they need, while others are looking for someone who'll take the time to understand their situation and explain their options in a way that makes sense.

That's where you come in. No two customers are the same, and that's what makes the role rewarding. As a Retail Consultant, you'll build trust, solve problems and help customers make confident decisions. Along the way, you'll develop skills in communication, customer experience, sales, teamwork and problem solving that can support a range of future career pathways.

You'll be joining a team that supports one another, works towards shared goals and takes pride in helping customers and teammates succeed.

Whether you're looking for a fresh challenge, returning to work, building your career or simply keen to keep learning and growing, there could be a place for you in our team. Experience gained in retail, hospitality, customer service, travel, healthcare and other people-focused environments can provide a strong foundation for success in this role.

What You'll Do

Success in this role comes from balancing great customer experiences with the everyday responsibilities that help a store run well, from achieving team goals to following the processes that keep customers and the business safe.

  • Help customers find the right products, services and solutions for their needs
  • Make technology easier to understand through clear conversations and practical advice
  • Guide customers through decisions so they feel informed and confident in their choices
  • Support customers through questions, concerns and unexpected issues with care and professionalism
  • Contribute to customer experience, sales and store goals while following the right processes and standards
  • Work closely with your team and continue learning to create a positive store experience every day

What You'll Bring

  • Enjoy connecting with people and helping them feel confident about their choices
  • Bring curiosity and take the time to understand what someone really needs
  • Feel comfortable talking about products, services and technology and be excited to learn
  • Enjoy balancing great customer experiences with shared team goals
  • Stay positive, adaptable and solution-focused when challenges arise
  • Take pride in following through and doing things the right way
  • Enjoy being part of a team and contributing to shared success
  • Can work across retail trading hours, including weekends and peak trading periods
