Credit Officer

• $80K - $85K plus Super + Potential Attractive Bonus

A leading organisation in Port Melbourne is seeking a Credit Officer to work within their credit team focusing on credit risk assessment of new and existing Business accounts.

This role sits within an established, supportive team and reports to the Credit Manager.

This role ensures appropriate credit exposure by evaluating financial information, assigning credit limits, reviewing limits and monitoring for alerts.

You’ll be cross‑trained across all areas of credit, giving you exposure to banking, allocations, and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Credit Assessment - Assess new credit applications within company credit policy
• Evaluate customer risk profiles to determine credit worthiness
• Approve or recommend credit limits
• Manage process with Credit Insurance provider
• Customer Onboarding
• Account Maintenance
• PPSR Administration
• Query resolution — partnering with customers and internal teams
• Cross‑department collaboration  supporting smooth account management

About You:

• Experience in Credit Control/AR
• Strong communication skills with confidence engaging diverse stakeholders
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Enjoys working both independently and within a collaborative team
