Senior Financial Accountant | Finance Transformation

Finance transformation contract through March 2027. Drive reporting, controls and Oracle migration outcomes

Hays is partnering with a well-regarded organisation undertaking a significant finance transformation and reporting improvement program. We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to provide additional oversight across financial control, management reporting, reconciliation governance and system transition activities.

Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys identifying and resolving reporting inconsistencies, strengthening controls and supporting business-critical finance projects within a complex operating environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Review and bridge audited financial statements to underlying monthly management reports
• Perform detailed reviews of Financial Data Schedules (FDS)
• Support system mapping and finance transformation activities from GP to Oracle
• Review reconciliations and validate data migration and data load accuracy
• Identify and resolve financial reporting and data integrity issues
• Enhance financial controls, governance and reporting processes
• Provide assurance over the quality and accuracy of management reporting outputs
• Support executive and Board-level reporting requirements
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to improve reporting consistency across the business

What you'll need to succeed

• CA or CPA qualified
• Australian citizen
• Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, reporting and financial control
• Strong reconciliation, audit and problem-solving capabilities
• Previous involvement in ERP implementations, system migrations or finance transformation projects
• Experience working within complex organisations, ideally across manufacturing, major programs, infrastructure, engineering or similar environments
• Ability to operate independently and influence stakeholders across finance and the wider business
• Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
