About the Role

Smith & Co is partnering with established civil contractors seeking experienced Civil Estimators and Senior Estimators for opportunities across Southeast Queensland and regional Queensland.

These contractors have strong forward workloads across TMR roads, highways, water infrastructure, FRP works, bulk earthworks, piling, subdivisions and major civil infrastructure.

You’ll manage tenders across the full pre-contracts lifecycle, from reviewing drawings and completing quantity take-offs through to subcontractor pricing, construction methodologies, value engineering and final submissions.

Multiple positions are available, with options to work on SEQ-based projects, FIFO rosters or relocate to regional Queensland.

For experienced Estimators looking to step up, selected opportunities also offer exposure to larger tenders, greater commercial responsibility and progression within growing pre-contracts teams.
  
Salary & Benefits

• $180K–$220K + Super + Company Vehicle, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive tenders for major civil projects
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes and tender documentation
• Complete quantity take-offs and source subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop construction methodologies, programs and value engineering options
• Work with delivery teams through tender review, handover and project award

What You’ll Bring

• Experience as a Civil Estimator or Senior Estimator within civil construction
• Project exposure across roads, TMR, water, FRP, earthworks or infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies and project delivery
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contract scopes
• Commercial capability across pricing, tender strategy and stakeholder engagement
