Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $79,500 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Wee Waa NSW 2388

Our client is seeking a reliable, motivated and passionate Cook to join their kitchen team. The successful applicant will assist with the preparation and cooking of meals, maintain high food safety and hygiene standards and help deliver quality food to our guests and patrons.

Tasks required include:

• Prepare, cook and present meals to a high standard in accordance with menu requirements.
• Assist with menu preparation, meal planning and portion control.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, cooking equipment and food preparation areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Monitor food stock levels, check deliveries and assist with stock rotation.
• Minimise food waste and maintain appropriate food storage practices.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with cleaning duties, including kitchen equipment, utensils and work surfaces.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude during busy service periods.

Requirements:

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
• A minimum of 12 months of previous experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
• Ability to prepare and cook a variety of meals
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
