THE ROLE
Key responsibilities include:
- End‑to‑end fortnightly payroll processing using iChris
- Month‑end payroll accounting and reconciliations
- Responding to payroll queries and liaising with internal stakeholders
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Confidently challenging processes with curiosity while maintaining BAU
- Supporting payroll projects, testing, UAT and process improvement initiatives
- Working closely with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to automate and streamline payroll workflows
- Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation
- Complex payroll calculations, back pays and adjustments
THE PERSON
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Currently in a Senior Payroll Officer looking to step up your career to be more involved in Projects and process improvements
- iChris & Kronos / UKG experience highly desired
- Excellent communication skills, integrity and professionalism
- A proactive, process‑improvement mindset
- Strong understanding of Awards and Enterprise Agreements and payroll compliance
- Positive, proactive and collaborative approach
- Experience with payroll projects, implementations highly desired
