Swan Transit is seeking a qualified and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Busselton Depot.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnosis, and repair of our passenger transport fleet, ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy vehicles and buses.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, environmental standards, and company procedures.
  • Participate in breakdown response and after-hours support as required.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, productive, and professional workshop environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic preferable but will consider upskilling from light vehicle if successful.
  • Experience maintaining heavy vehicles, buses, trucks, or similar equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
  • Current HR driver's licence (desirable).
  • Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle systems (desirable).
