Senior Infrastructure Architect - Linux and OpenShift
- Define the architecture and roadmap for Edge and IoT infrastructure
- Design scalable compute, storage and networking solutions across a large multi-site environment

We’re partnering with a large Australian enterprise to assist them in finding a Senior Infrastructure Architect with strong experience across Edge infrastructure, Red Hat Linux and OpenShift.
This is a great opportunity to work on the architecture and technology strategy behind large-scale, distributed infrastructure, combining modern cloud-native platforms with physical environments across multiple locations.
This tech lead architecture role will see you:
- Define the architecture and roadmap for Edge and IoT infrastructure
- Design scalable compute, storage and networking solutions across a large multi-site environment
- Architect Red Hat Linux and OpenShift platforms, including single-node and hybrid-cloud environments
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, automation, CI/CD and GitOps using technologies such as Ansible and Azure Pipelines
- Build security into the platform through DevSecOps, Policy-as-Code and automated vulnerability management
- Evaluate new infrastructure technologies and take them through design, testing and deployment
- Work across Edge, IoT, cloud and device-management technologies
- Provide technical leadership and mentor infrastructure engineers
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Several years' experience in infrastructure architecture, technical design or in a senior systems engineering capacity
- Strong Red Hat Linux and OpenShift experience
- Experience designing large-scale, distributed or multi-site infrastructure
- Knowledge of Edge computing and physical infrastructure
- Experience with IaC, automation and DevOps/DevSecOps
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical teams and senior stakeholders
