About the Role:

Our Store people work at the heart of our business. Alsco is stable and successful linen rental company, with dependable support systems throughout the organisation. We take pride in looking after each of our employees and all working together to deliver Customer Service Excellence for our customers.

The role is key in the overall success of the business through stock maintenance and organising the storeroom to ensure our customer's needs are met. Working as part of a larger Production department, our Store People work with the department managers in stock control activities and the ordering and receiving of outgoing and incoming goods.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Hand unloading of shipping containers
• Ordering and receiving functions for outgoing and incoming goods
• Pick, pack and dispatch jobs for outgoing goods
• Stock control activities
• Maintaining a clean and organised store
• Mending garments by sewing and alterations, replacing barcodes and attaching badges

You will enjoy working and communicating with others whilst being able to work autonomously when required. You will also enjoy challenging yourself to meet and exceed performance targets set for our Store People.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• A valid Forklift licence preferred, but not essential
• A valid Driver’s licence
• Proficient computer, numeracy and literacy skills
• You will need to be Physically fit as the role requires some heavy lifting
• An ability to work autonomously
• Experience as a Store Person is highly regarded
• Commercial / Domestic Machinist experience preferred
