REGISTERED NURSE
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and caring Registered Nurse to join our growing team at Strathalbyn Medical Clinic, someone who wants to be actively involved in patient care and preventive health, helping patients stay well, identify health concerns early and better manage their ongoing health needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will work closely with our experienced GPs and wider practice team, with support and opportunities to further develop your skills within general practice.
The position will initially be casual, approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential to grow. No weekend work at this point in time.
YOUR ROLE
Your role will include, but are not limited to:

Preventive Health and patient education

Health Assessments and Health Screening

Chronic Condition Management, care planning and reviews

Immunisations and Vaccinations
-
Wound care and dressings
-
ECGs
-
Assisting with procedures and clinical care

Patient follow-up and ongoing care

Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
-
Supporting patients with their individual healthcare needs

Working collaboratively with GPs and the wider practice team

Contributing to quality improvement and preventive health initiatives

General clinical and administrative duties as required

Has previous general practice nursing experience
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION, YOU MUST:

Hold current unrestricted registration with AHPRA

Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
-
Have a current National Police Check
-
Have a current Working with Children Check
-
Have the right to work in Australia
Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse in general practice is essential for this position.
