Senior Penetration Tester - Major Bank

A major bank in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Penetration Tester to join its cybersecurity team in a newly created, permanent role. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a highly skilled team of Pen Testers , contribute to high-impact projects, and strengthen the organisation’s security posture through advanced penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
Responsibilities:

• Experience performing advanced web, network, application, mobile and infrastructure level penetration testing.
• Performing Penetration Testing using various tools and techniques, produce written reports outlining identified vulnerabilities and associated recommendations, and governing security remediation efforts
• Advising and ensuring the implementation of Penetration Testing and vulnerability management policies, processes, standards, and guidelines
• Strong expertise in software development and risk analysis / threat modelling.
• Familiarity with modern AI concepts such as LLM security, prompt injection and agentic AI attack surfaces, and how AI can be leveraged to enhance penetration testing methodologies.
• Identifying and advising on requirements for business processes, applications, and products to ensure the company continues to be protected against current and emerging threats
• Advising on and ensuring the implementation of frameworks that provide appropriate security controls

Key Skills/ Experience:

• OSCP
• Web Application, security testing, API, Mobile apps
• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as OWASP, OSSTMM related to Information Security and implementing automated security testing tools and processes.
• Thick client testing experience
• manage existing 3rd party vendor
• Evidence of knowledge sharing / mentoring grads etc
• large language model experience
• Solid understanding of one or more of the following Cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud.
• Container/ Kubernetes desirable
