SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, MOBILE SDK DEVELOPMENT AND C++
- Work on low-level iOS and Android projects
- Focus on systems level programming, not application development
- Collaborate with an international engineering team on high-speed Cyber Security products
Our client is a Global Cyber Security product company.
They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on low-level iOS and Android projects.
This group is responsible for systems level programming not application development.
Ideal candidate has expertise in C++, Java, or Objective C.
Will work on high-speed Cyber Security products used by public companies with high traffic E:Commerce websites.
The Team:
The internationalengineering team includes experts in device identification, device intelligence, fraud detection, real time systems, Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, machine learning, and data analytics.
Agile engineering team using concepts such as Scrum, Continuous Integration, self-organizing teams, and Continuous Improvement.
The Position:
We are looking for a highly talented and experienced Engineer to work in the client facing technologies team. This is a broad role that touches on a number of different platforms, operating systems and programming languages.
The primary focus will be iOS and Android and also covers web-based, OSX and Windows based products. Role involves constant research and the ability to figure out how things work beyond available documentation. A desire to know how things work is a must.
This is not an application development role.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of C/C++/Objective C/Java, and expert in at least one.
- Knowledge of programming principles and systems level programming - or concurrent programming and memory management in Java
- Build and debug mobile SDKs
- Threaded and concurrent programming.
- Cross platform experience (Flutter, react native, Xamarin...)
Personal Skills
- Clear and effective communicator of technical issues.
- Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams.
- Ability to accept criticism and provide feedback (eg code reviews).
- Desire to understand what makes things tick.
Experience
- At least 5 years in development, 10+ years is ideal.
- Experienced with writing unit tests.
- Mobile development, ideally systems level.
