An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Development Manager to join a growing renewable energy developer with an impressive portfolio of utility-scale projects across Australia. This role will play a critical part in originating, securing and advancing large-scale Wind, Solar, BESS and Hybrid Energy projects from early-stage development through to investment readiness and construction handover.
Your new role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for leading the successful development of utility-scale renewable energy projects and managing key stakeholder relationships throughout the project life cycle. The role will involve coordinating multidisciplinary teams while balancing technical, environmental, social and commercial considerations to maximise project value.
What you'll need to succeed
- 8+ years' experience in renewable energy development or major infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of land access, environmental approvals, planning processes and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks and reporting frameworks.
- Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Science, Commerce, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Experience with Wind, Solar, BESS, Hybrid projects,
- Acquisition assessments or NEM grid connection processes will be highly regarded.
