We are partnering with a leading Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of critical network infrastructure projects across a large-scale national network environment.
This is responsible for delivering projects across network facilities, exchange environments, transmission infrastructure, fibre networks and critical operational sites. The portfolio includes infrastructure upgrades, hardware deployments, site relocations, facility modernisation initiatives and operational improvement projects designed to support the ongoing growth, resilience and performance of the network.
About the Role
This is a delivery-focused Project Manager opportunity where you'll be responsible for leading infrastructure projects from initiation through to commissioning and operational handover.Working across live production environments, you'll coordinate engineering teams, operational stakeholders, vendors and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal impact on network availability and service continuity.
Unlike traditional IT Project Management roles, this position centres on physical infrastructure and hardware deployment. Projects may involve network hardware installations, exchange facility upgrades, fibre and transmission infrastructure, network relocations and the delivery of critical infrastructure improvements across operational facilities.
Based on the broader requirements provided, candidates with experience delivering projects within data centres, carrier facilities, telecommunications networks or other mission-critical environments are likely to be well aligned.
About You
We are keen to speak with experienced Project Managers who have delivered infrastructure projects involving physical technology assets and operational environments.
You may bring experience from:
- Data centre infrastructure environments
- Telecommunications carriers
- Network infrastructure providers
- Fibre, transmission and transport networks
- Critical facilities and operational environments
- Large-scale infrastructure upgrade and deployment programs
You will have a strong understanding of hardware deployment projects and the operational impact of infrastructure change, coupled with the ability to work effectively with engineering, operations and delivery teams to drive successful outcomes.
Exposure to network infrastructure technologies such as Ethernet environments, switching infrastructure, IP networking, transmission equipment or related physical network assets will be highly regarded.
