Salary: $125,000 to $135,000 + superannuation

About the Program
The Cafs Finance team plays a pivotal role in helping the organisation deliver quality services to the community. The team is responsible for the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and financial reporting functions of the organisation. The Finance team works collaboratively with stakeholders across Cafs to provide high quality and timely financial advice while ensuring compliance with legislative and reporting requirements.
About the Role
As the Manager Finance, you will play a key leadership role in leading and managing the Finance team to successfully deliver all finance functions across the organisation. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and compliance activities while providing strategic financial leadership and advice to key stakeholders.
This role requires extensive financial management experience, strong leadership capability and the ability to build positive relationships across the organisation. You will lead the preparation of the annual financial report, oversee the annual budget process and ensure financial operations are efficient, compliant and aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the Finance team, providing coaching, support, performance management and guidance.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of the annual financial report, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Manage the annual budgeting process and support managers to develop sustainable forecasts and budget models.
- Lead and coordinate the annual external financial audit process and maintain strong relationships with auditors.
- Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes, including reconciliations, journals and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with taxation requirements, including BAS, FBT and other legislative obligations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure finance processes remain innovative, efficient and compliant.
- Provide high-quality financial advice, modelling, grant acquittals and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships and act as a positive role model across the organisation.
- Contribute to organisational success through leadership, strategic thinking and continuous improvement initiatives.
