Our client, a rapidly growing ASX-listed gold company, is seeking the services of a Senior Open Pit Mine Geologist to oversee all aspects of mine geology, grade control, and geological reconciliation, while mentoring and developing a high-performing geology team.
The Opportunity
- Provide geological support to the open pit mining operation;
- Manage and optimise grade control activities to support production targets;
- Complete ore block design, ore spotting and dig planning activities;
- Conduct geological mapping, interpretation and data validation;
- Support mine-to-mill reconciliation processes and identify improvement opportunities;
- Work closely with Mining, Planning and Processing teams to optimise ore recovery;
- Maintain geological models and support short-term production planning;
- Assist with QA/QC processes and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Mentor geology staff.
Experience and Qualifications:
- BSc (Geology) or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in surface gold operations;
- Strong understanding of geological modelling software;
- WA Australian Driver’s License C Class or equivalent.
