An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a large maintenance team at a major industrial processing facility located in Perth's eastern suburbs. Reporting directly to a Supervisor, this role forms part of a well-established electrical team supporting ongoing maintenance activities across a complex operational environment.While a number of upgrade projects are occurring on site, this position will primarily focus on preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure the safe and reliable operation of plant and equipment.
Your new role
Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise equipment downtime. Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Assist with commissioning, upgrades and modifications to plant equipment as required. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance function. Adhere to all site safety, environmental and operational requirements. Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance and engineering teams.What you'll need to succeed
Trade-qualified Electrician Western Australian A-Grade Electrical Licence. Demonstrated experience in an industrial, manufacturing, refinery, processing, mining or heavy industry environment. Experience investigating and repairing PLC-controlled equipment and systems. Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting capability. Ability to interpret:- P&IDs
- Electrical panel drawings
- Single line diagrams
- Loop sheets
- Understanding of electrical safety legislation, standards and compliance obligations.
- Experience with CMMS and asset management systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
