The venue offers motel accommodation alongside an on-site licensed restaurant catering to locals, travellers and guests visiting the Eyre Peninsula region. Salary - $70,000 - $83,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised Motel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an established regional motel. You will be responsible for coordinating accommodation services, supervising staff, maintaining high standards of guest services and ensuring the motel operates efficiently, safely and in accordance with relevant requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the motel, including reservations, reception and guest services.

· Coordinate and supervise housekeeping activities to ensure guest rooms and common areas are maintained to a high standard.

· Supervise motel staff, including allocating duties, providing guidance and monitoring performance.

· Manage guest bookings, check-ins, check-outs, payments and enquiries to ensure efficient front-office operations.

· Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to enquiries and resolve complaints or service issues in a professional and timely manner.

· Coordinate property maintenance, security and repairs to ensure motel facilities remain safe, functional and well presented.

· Oversee purchasing, stock requirements, operational expenses and other administrative activities.

· Maintain accurate operational, financial and guest records and prepare reports as required.

· Liaise with the on-site restaurant and other areas of the business to ensure smooth overall operations and a positive guest experience.

· Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety, licensing and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Hospitality or Diploma in Hospitality Management (or agreed equivalent) is highly desirable.

· Minimum of one year of relevant experience in motel, hotel or accommodation management.

· Demonstrated experience overseeing accommodation operations, including reservations, reception and guest services.

· Experience coordinating or supervising staff and day-to-day operational activities.

· Strong customer service skills with the ability to professionally manage guest enquiries and complaints.

· Good organisational, administrative and time-management skills.

· Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to operational issues.

· Sound understanding of workplace health and safety and hospitality compliance requirements.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· A current Australian driver’s licence is essential.

· Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
