About the role
SOND Kitchen Cabinets & Carpentry Pty Ltd is looking for two full-time Cabinet Makers to join our workshop team in Ravenhall. You will build and install quality cabinetry, working both in the workshop and at client sites.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret plans, technical drawings and job specifications to prepare cabinetry for production
- Choose and prepare suitable materials, including solid timber, veneers and engineered boards
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble cabinetry components using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery
- Apply finishes and complete final fitting and detailing to a high standard
- Install completed cabinetry at customer sites, making sure it fits accurately and is finished neatly
- Repair, adjust and restore existing cabinetry as needed
- Follow safe work practices and keep workshop machinery and equipment in good working order
Skills and experience
- Certificate III in Cabinet Making (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker in both a workshop and onsite installation environment
- Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and precision, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
