Your new role
- Lead the enhancement and governance of a large fixed asset register within a complex infrastructure environment
- Manage asset accounting activities including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and componentisation
- Drive asset data quality improvements, reconciliation activities, and system integration projects
- Collaborate with engineers, asset managers, and finance teams to deliver project outcomes and improve asset management processes
- Provide technical advice on asset accounting, data governance, and compliance requirements
- Support physical asset verification and site inspections as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in fixed asset accounting and asset register management within a complex environment
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, including property, plant, and equipment accounting
- Experience with asset register improvement, data migration, or ERP projects
- Advanced analytical skills, high attention to detail, and strong Excel capability
- CPA/CA qualification or progress towards completion will be highly regarded
- Experience with TechnologyOne, ESRI, ports, utilities, or infrastructure organisations is advantageous
