Role: Analytics ConsultantDuration: Until 30/06/2027Location: Melbourne, VIC (3 Days/Week in Office)
Your new role:
- Analyse existing reports, dashboards, measures and associated business rules to understand current state reporting requirements and dependencies.
- Support the recreation, redesign and extension of reporting and analytics products required through the CRP transformation.
- Translate business and reporting requirements into clear data, measure, dimension and reporting specifications.
- Organise, transform and prepare data to support reporting and analytical consumption, including the use of SQL and other relevant analytical technologies.
- Assess reporting impacts arising from changes to business processes, source systems and data structures and identify requirements to maintain reporting and measure continuity.
- Work collaboratively with business analysts, data developers, data architects and business stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements align with available and future state data.
- Define and support data quality, reconciliation, validation and testing requirements for reports, measures and analytical outputs.
- Develop initial reporting views, prototypes or analytics outputs where required to validate requirements and inform solution design.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and traceability of reporting requirements, business rules, measures and analytical outputs.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Demonstrated experience delivering reporting and analytics solutions within complex transformation programmes
- Strong experience analysing, developing, recreating and/or redesigning reports, dashboards, measures and analytical products
- Strong SQL programming skills and experience working with data and analytics technologies such as SAS, Python, R or similar
- Experience working with Salesforce data and/or SaaS platforms and understanding the implications of platform transformation for downstream reporting and analytics
- Experience working with data warehouses, relational databases and enterprise data environments. Oracle experience is desirable.
- Strong understanding of data transformation, business rules, measures, dimensions, data quality and reporting continuity
- Experience validating and reconciling reporting outputs and defining appropriate testing and quality assurance requirements
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical reporting and analytical solutions
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, complex and changing transformation environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
- Experience within case management, claims, worker compensation and/or government environments is desirable.
