Volunteer - Community Transport Driver

- Support social programs, events and group activities that help people stay active and connected.
- Assist with programs that support children, young people and families.
At Capital Region Community Services (CRCS), volunteers are at the heart of what we do.
As a not-for-profit community organisation, we rely on the generosity, skills and commitment of volunteers to help us deliver the wide range of services and programs our community needs. Whether you're interested in driving, supporting community activities, working with children and young people, or helping people stay connected and engaged, there's a volunteer role that can suit your interests, skills and availability.
Volunteer Drivers Needed
Right now, we have a particular need for Volunteer Community Transport Drivers.
Our transport services help older people and people living with disability access medical appointments, shopping, social activities, family and friends, and other essential community connections. Without volunteer drivers, many people would struggle to remain independent and connected to their community.
We need volunteer drivers across weekdays, evenings and weekends. These services can only be delivered safely, reliably and sustainably with the support of our volunteers.
Whether you can spare a few hours each week, volunteer regularly, or help on your way to or from work, your contribution can make a real difference.
Why Volunteer with CRCS?
Volunteering with CRCS is flexible and rewarding. You can:
- Support people in your local community
- Meet new people and build meaningful connections
- Share your skills and experience
- Gain valuable experience in community services
- Be part of a welcoming and supportive team
- Choose opportunities that fit your interests and availability
Mileage and other pre-approved volunteer-related expenses will be reimbursed where relevant to your role.
