About the role
A Pick Packer is responsible for accurately picking, packing, labeling, and preparing food products for distribution while maintaining quality, safety, and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate is able to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions carefully, and contribute to efficient daily production operations.
What you'll do
- Picking and Packing dry and chilled product
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and report discrepancies
- Select items from shelves based on order specifications, ensuring accuracy
- Safely pack items for dispatch, using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
- Hand wrap pallets of products ready for dispatch
- Create and attach labels to packages for easy identification.
- Keep the work area organized and clean to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Stable employment history
- Previous pick and pack experience is not essential but highly regarded
- Must be reliable, with an exceptional attitude towards safety and teamwork
- Must be physically fit as vertical lifting (manual handling) is a component of this role
- Proficient English (reading, written and spoken)
- Must have valid right to work in Australia
- Must be able to work, flexible with shifts
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices within the food industry.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
