About the Company 
Our client is a globally recognised investment manager with a strong reputation and well-established presence in the Australian market. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Client Onboarding Associate to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. 
  
Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding of institutional investors, ensuring a seamless and professional client experience from initial engagement through to account activation. 
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, consultants, investment teams and external service providers throughout the onboarding lifecycle. 
  • Conduct AML/KYC due diligence and risk assessments in line with regulatory obligations and internal compliance standards. 
  • Coordinate complex onboarding events, including new mandates, investor restructures, account updates and fund launches. 
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Tax and Operations teams to facilitate the timely execution of onboarding activities. 
  • Support regulatory reporting, audit requests and ongoing investor maintenance activities. 
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls and elevate the client onboarding experience. 

Knowledge & Experience  

  • 5+ years' experience within client onboarding positions within funds management, superannuation, institutional banking, custody or fund administration.
  • Strong understanding of institutional investor onboarding processes, client due diligence requirements and regulatory obligations. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex client onboarding cases across multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions. 
  • Sound knowledge of AML/CTF, FATCA and CRS requirements within an investment management or financial services environment. 
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, custodians, trustees and internal business partners. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Finance or related discipline preferred.
