2IC Office Manager 

About the role 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated 2IC Office Manager to support the Office Manager in the day-to-day running of our busy Newtown clinic. This will be a full-time, fixed-term position to cover maternity leave working Monday-Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm.   

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support our reception and administration teams, help manage patient flow and ensure a high standard of patient care and service. 

Key responsibilities 

• Support the Office Manager with daily clinic operations. 
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to reception and administration staff. 
• Assist with staff allocation, coverage, training and development. 
• Monitor patient flow and assist with managing delays and workflow issues. 
• Support the team with complex patient enquiries and complaints. 
• Assist with Medicare, DVA, private billing and administrative processes. 
• Ensure clinic procedures, privacy and professional standards are maintained. 
• Act as the key point of contact when the Office Manager is unavailable. 
• Step into the Office Manager's responsibilities when required.  

About you 

You will be an experienced medical administrator or team leader who is confident, organised and passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience. 

You will have strong communication skills, a positive leadership style and the ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy clinical environment.
