Data Analyst - Insights
Melbourne | Contract to June 2027 | [rate] | Hybrid
Our client is a large hospitality group running over 200 venues across Australia and New Zealand, supported by a central head office in Melbourne. They’re building out a forecasting capability and need a contract analyst who can dig into the numbers and turn them into insights the business acts on. This isn’t a reporting seat. You’ll find what’s driving venue performance and make a clear case for what should change.

  • Investigating customer behaviour, marketing, product and operational performance across the venue network
  • Turning findings into clear recommendations for head office and operations teams
  • Building Power BI views that track the impact of those changes
  • Working closely with the forecasting lead and insights team

Must have

  • Strong SQL, comfortable with large, messy datasets
  • Solid Power BI experience
  • Proven examples of insights you identified that improved business performance
  • Ability to explain analysis simply to non-technical stakeholders
  • Background in customer, marketing, product or operational analytics
