SustainHealth Recruitment is seeking an experienced CSSD Technician (Sterilisation Services) for a permanent full-time opportunity within a leading specialist day surgery in Sydney’s North Shore.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a state-of-the-art surgical facility known for delivering high-quality care across multiple specialties. You will play a critical role in supporting theatre operations by ensuring the safe and effective reprocessing of surgical instruments and equipment.
Working within a collaborative and highly skilled team, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of infection control, sterilisation, and patient safety.

The Role:
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilisation of surgical instruments and equipment
- Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 5369:2023 sterilisation standards
- Assist with surgical set-ups and daily CSSD operations
- Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of instruments
- Support stock control and ordering of supplies
- Assist with loan equipment management and documentation
- Contribute to infection control practices and quality improvement initiatives
About You:
- Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services)
- Minimum 1 year experience in CSSD / sterile processing
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation standards
- Good computer literacy for documentation and tracking systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work rotating shifts between 7:00am–8:00pm (Monday–Friday)
