Our Client, The Trustee for Siri Trading No.2 Family Trust known as Café 63 Springwood, are excited to announce a unique opportunity for a talented and experienced Cook to join the growing team.
They are currently expanding culinary offerings to include authentic cuisine who possess strong experience in preparing dishes. This initiative aims to bring rich, flavourful food to guests.
Location: 99 Cinderella Drive, Springwood, QLD -4127
Roles and Responsibilities:
·Cooking, Baking and grilling of meats and vegetables following proper recipes.
·Using proper knife handling techniques, and cutting techniques for fruit, vegetables and meats appropriate to the style of cuisine.
·Assisting chef in daily food operations and working under the supervision.
·Stirring and mixing for making a variety of sauces for marinating and preparing various dishes.
·Examining food and products to ensure it is of highest quality.
·Checking whether the ingredients used for cooking are in accordance with recipe guidelines and are of good quality.
·Washing, cutting, peeling of ingredients including vegetables and meats for preparing cuisines.
·Demonstrating safe work practices and adhering to Workplace health and safety regulations by cleaning and tidying the kitchen using sanitizers, bleach, hot water, soap liquids etc.
·Performing other activities such as training kitchen staffs
·Assisting Chef in planning and designing of menus
·Seasoning, Marinating, Roasting and Baking food as per the recipes.
·Cooking food as per the dietary requirements of the patrons such as food allergies.
·Receiving and storing stock in a clean place and temperature-controlled facility.
·Organizing cooked meals in platter with good presentation and right proportion.
Skills and Experience:
·Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is required.
·The candidate must have at least 1 year experience.
·Friendly, positive & approachable attitude.
·To be energetic & motivated.
·Able to work under pressure.
Salary Package: $75,000 - $90,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
