Colour Machine Operator – ASAP Start - Manufacturing Facility Darra, QLD
Location: Darra, QLD
Pay Rate: $38.34/hr (Casual)
Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing – Monday to Friday
Hours: Shifts may vary, from 3:00am to 4:30pm
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

We are seeking a reliable, motivated and dedicated Colour Machine Operator for our Client’s leading roof tile production facility in Darra. About the Role
You’ll be operating colour machinery to support the production of high-quality roofing materials. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives in a team setting and is committed to maintaining high safety standards.
Key Tasks and Duties
- Set up and filling of applicator
- Quality control checks
- Colour mixing
- General clean up and maintenance of work area
- Pot wash
- Reset racker and start
- Reset tile machine and start
- Oxide collection
- Understand production plan and ensure correct colour and profile is being produced
- Monitor extrusion process to ensure all tiles are made to standards
- Once trained, assist new operators
- General asset care and maintenance
- Relieve of other positions as and if necessary
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with machine operation (highly regarded)
- Good level of hand eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Basic computer literacy and ability to read/write effectively
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices
- Physically fit – must be able to pass a fitness assessment
- Reliable transport to Darra for early start – no public transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
