Collections Officer

• Based in Sydney CBD - close to public transport
• Salary $75k plus super with uncapped Monthly Bonuses $$$$
• Hybrid - Working from home 2 days

Are you an experienced Commercial Collections, Credit Control or Debt Recovery professional who thrives on achieving results while building strong, respectful relationships?

You’ll manage a varied portfolio across commercial and some consumer collections, negotiating outcomes, resolving disputes and maintaining strong client and customer relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing commercial recovery files from initial contact through to resolution
• Contacting businesses and consumers via phone and email to negotiate payment of overdue accounts
• Negotiating payment arrangements and settlements to maximise recovery outcomes
• Investigating disputes and collaborating with clients to resolve outstanding matters efficiently
• Maintaining accurate notes, correspondence and compliance documentation
• Providing clients with regular updates on collection activity and progress
• Meeting individual recovery targets while delivering exceptional customer service

About You:

• Experience in commercial/consumer collections, mercantile services, debt recovery, or Credit control
• Strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills
• Confidence handling difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• High attention to detail and strong time‑management skills
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
• A results‑driven mindset with a focus on quality outcomes
