The Service 

KU Grevillea Preschool in Hornsby Heights is proud of their reputation within the local community of providing rich education and care that concentrates on individual children in a family-focussed and supportive way.

An integral part of the KU Grevillea program is our ‘Bushland Learning Journeys’. We take children on regular "out the gate" excursions to surrounding bushland and parks, providing them with the opportunity to discover and connect with nature, and allowing children to develop a sense of wonder, curiosity and respect for the environment. We are also passionate about nurturing health and wellbeing and have a focus on physical activity, with our aesthetic natural garden playground being our outdoor classroom environment.

The Role

The team at Grevillea are looking for a Certificate III educator to cover breaks and programming time, the working hours of this permanent position are as follows:

Week 1 (22.5 hours per week) Monday - Friday 4.5hrs per day 

Week 2 (24 hours per week) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 4.5 hrs per day and 6hrs per day on Wednesday

Candidates Require

• Australian working rights
• A current and valid NSW Working with Children Check
• An ACECQA recognised Certificate III qualification
• A National Child Safety Training Certificate
• A completed training in Child Protection (CHCPRT025) and an understanding of the legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
• Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
• Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
