We are seeking a passionate and reliable Child Care Worker to join our close-knit team on a full-time basis.

This position requires a dedicated educator who demonstrates initiative, maintains strong relationships with children and families, and is willing to assist in service operations beyond classroom responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your allocated learning environment.
  • Provide high-quality education and care that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Ensure supervision of children is active, adequate and efficient at all times, and implement and maintain clear expectations for children when establishing limits of appropriate behaviour.
  • Develop holistic and culturally responsive education programs and responses to all children, within the context of their families and communities.
  • Structure indoor and outdoor environments and activities with a balance of active and passive learning areas to guide children to participate constructively, to explore, to learn, and to interact positively with other children through play.
  • Assist in developing individual learning plans and documenting children's progress through observations and assessments.
  • Build and maintain warm, respectful, and stable relationships with children and families to promote a sense of security and continuity.
  • Support children's behaviour and wellbeing using positive guidance strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment, indoors and outdoors.
  • Contribute to team discussions, reflective practices, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Support the centre's daily operations and management tasks as delegated by the Centre Director, such as contributing to resource planning, liaising with families, or mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate III (or higher) in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in an early childhood education and care setting.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (HLTAID012 or equivalent).
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Excellent knowledge of child development in the 0-6 years age group and proven ability to plan appropriate programs.
  • Ability to evaluate and make recommendations to the leadership team on the planning and implementation of education and care programs within the service.
  • Experience in undertaking educational program planning to meet the needs of all children within the service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build trusting relationships with children and families, promoting long-term engagement and continuity of care.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with digital platforms used for documenting children's learning and centre communication.
  • Commitment to professional growth and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary of $80,000 per annum + superannuation.
  • Opportunities for leadership involvement and mentoring.
  • Supportive team culture and experienced management.
  • Access to professional development and training.
  • A collaborative environment that values long-term educators-child relationships.
