Ryan's Quality Meats is a family owned and operated business that has been operating for over 50 years.
We are currently looking for an experienced Butcher to join our team and assist the Site Manager in the day to day operations of Ryan's Quality Meats Bunbury site.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have:
- 3+ years' experience as a Butcher
- Good communication skills
- Computer competency (ability to understand and learn about in-house computer programs)
- Experience on/of meat machinery
- Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance
- Problem solving skills
We are looking for someone who can think independently, be reliable & punctual, can encourage and foster teamwork and help manage up to 40 people on a daily basis. You will need to lead by example in the day to day workings and upkeep of machinery and have the ability to work between sites.
Responsibilities will include:
- Management of production staff
- Performing regular yield testing on all species
- Overseeing retail production for both sites
- Stock control and stock transfer
- Reading company specifications
- Compiling monthly reports as directed
This is a full time role working 9 hours per day Monday - Friday.
In return, a remuneration package between $78,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
We are a rapidly growing domestic market-based company that will be expanding into the export market in the near to mid term future and with expansion into this market there will be opportunities for promotion from within upper management.
