Training Business Manager - Rockhampton Qld

As the Business Manager for our Fitzroy region, you will take ownership of the local delivery and performance of the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program.

You will lead and support your local team, build strong relationships across the Fitzroy community and drive participant engagement, compliance and contract performance across the region. Supported by an experienced Senior Management team, you will have the opportunity to shape local strategies and ensure the SEE program delivers meaningful outcomes for participants and the communities we serve.

The opportunity

  • Lead and manage a region with a strong AMEP/SEE presence

  • Put your relationship skills to good use working with referral agencies, employers and community associations to increase participation

  • Management of staff to support them and ensure success in their roles

  • Ensure effective utilisation of trainers, classrooms and class scheduling to maximise our offering through the region

About you

  • Proven experience in managing teams to drive positive results and meet budget requirements. Experience in the education/training sector is preferred, but not compulsory

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of team management experience is required

  • Review, manage and be accountable for KPI's and the plan for your region

  • Experience and ability to empower, engage and support your team across multiple locations by building effective and positive working relationships

  • Have a strong grasp on business development and the ability to drive KPI's to achieve desired outcomes

  • Exposure to business development experience is required

  • Knowledge of government training contracts and compliance requirements would be advantageous

  • A Working with Children Check is required before commencement of employment.
