Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Building Associate to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with the coordination and delivery of construction projects by supporting project managers, monitoring site activities, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring projects are completed in accordance with plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of construction activities across civil and building projects.
  • Interpreting architectural drawings, engineering plans, specifications, and construction documentation to support project delivery.
  • Coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure construction activities are completed efficiently.
  • Monitoring construction progress and assisting with reporting on project timelines, costs, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Conducting site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, construction methods, and compliance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Identifying and reporting construction issues, defects, delays, and variations to relevant project stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the preparation of project documentation, progress reports, and technical records.
  • Reviewing construction materials, equipment requirements, and work methods to support efficient project delivery.
  • Liaising with contractors and subcontractors regarding project requirements, work schedules, and construction standards.
  • Assisting with quality control procedures and ensuring construction activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant Diploma qualification in Building, Construction Management, Civil Construction, or a related discipline.
  • At least 12 months of relevant experience working within construction or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and site teams.
