We are currently seeking two experienced Building Maintenance Officers / Trade Assistants to join a busy maintenance team. This role will commence immediately and is currently scheduled through to 31 December 2026, with potential for extension.Working Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3:30pm, you will assist with the inspection, maintenance and repair of community facilities and built assets. This hands-on role will see you completing a variety of maintenance, refurbishment and project-based tasks while ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant and well-presented.Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting inspections and condition assessments of facilities and assets
• Carrying out general building repairs and maintenance
• Assisting with refurbishment and construction projects
• Operating power tools, hand tools and small plant equipment
• Raising and completing maintenance work orders
• Maintaining accurate records and inspection reports
• Liaising with stakeholders and contractors as required
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Previous experience in building maintenance, construction or a Trade Assistant roleTrade qualification in Carpentry, Building & Construction, Painting or a related trade highly regardedConstruction White CardCurrent C Class Driver's LicenceExperience using hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipmentStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentWorking at Heights ticket highly regardedEWP Licence highly regardedReliable with a strong commitment to workplace safetyAbility to provide contactable referencesWhat you'll get in return
