Pilecom is a leading mechanical installer of utility-scale solar projects across Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking a motivated Building and Engineering Technician to support the delivery of solar farm infrastructure construction projects.

Job Description:

The role involves assisting engineering, technical professionals and project teams with construction coordination, technical documentation, site inspections, quality assurance, and project monitoring to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Frequent travel to remote Australia is required.

Responsibilities:

·Provide technical support to engineers, site managers, and project teams during the construction of large-scale solar farm infrastructure projects.

·Coordinate construction activities and subcontractor works to ensure project milestones, schedules, and quality requirements are achieved.

·Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans to support on-site project delivery.

·Prepare and update CAD drawings, site layouts, and as-built documentation in line with project requirements.

·Conduct site inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with engineering specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards.

·Assist with project planning, cost estimation, progress reporting, and construction documentation.

·Monitor daily civil, structural, and infrastructure construction activities and identify potential issues or non-conformances.

·Liaise with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to support the timely completion of solar farm construction works.

Skills and Experience:

·Associate degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering Technology, Building Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field.

·Experience supporting construction, engineering, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects.

·Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documentation.

·Proficiency in CAD software and technical document management is highly regarded.

·Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
