Bookkeeper

The Company:
Our client is one of Brisbane’s leading development firms working on some of the regions’ most exciting development projects. They have a new opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team to work closely with the Financial controller. This is an integral role to the company’s continued success.
  
The Role:
This is a “hands on” bookkeeping role which goes beyond the numbers. It will involve improving efficiencies and enhancing existing processes. The use of AI and automation is encouraged. Your duties will include:
  

• Undertaking full function bookkeeping for multiple entities
• Reconciliations of bank accounts
• Reconciliations of credit cards
• Reconciliation of inter-company loans
• Invoicing
• Coding of MYOB files
• Payroll
• Assistance with accounts payable when required
• Assistance with commercial leasing
• Providing direct assistance to the Financial Controller

  
About You:
If you have experience working in the property development, commercial real estate or construction industry, that will be highly valued. Alternatively, strong experience is bookkeeping for multiple entities would be ideal. You will also have:
  

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with MYOB is preferred
• Proven ability to identify system and process improvements
• Ability to work independently
• Exceptional communication skills
• Interest in AI and automation
