What you’ll be doing:

You’ll take ownership of financial operations and help drive smarter, more efficient ways of working:

  • Manage day-to-day finances (AP/AR) with precision and care
  • Oversee trust accounting in line with legal compliance requirements
  • Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet)
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and forward planning
  • Assist with tax, payroll, and regulatory compliance
  • Run payroll, including split arrangements
  • Deliver insights that help guide business decisions
  • Optimise systems and processes (including Xero)
  • Continuously improve workflows and financial controls

Who you are: 

You’re more than just detail-oriented — you’re proactive, solutions-focused, and thrive in an environment where things are evolving:

  • 5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping or similar
  • Law firm experience (highly regarded)
  • Strong Xero skills and understanding of trust accounting
  • Exceptionally organised with sharp attention to detail
  • Confident communicator across all levels
  • A self-starter who also enjoys being part of a team
  • Passionate about improving systems and processes
