Boilermaker / Welder  Location: Altona North, VIC
Pay Rate: $60 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welder to join a well-established marine engineering company based in Altona North. This is a casual role with strong potential for ongoing, long-term work.

About the Role This position involves both workshop and site-based work, supporting the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of heavy industrial and marine assets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Fabrication and welding in line with engineering drawings
• Inspection, servicing, and repair of equipment
• Operating workshop machinery and tools
• Working with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
• Carrying out site work as required
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years post-trade experience
• Relevant trade qualification (Boilermaker/Welder)
• Experience in heavy industry or marine environments
• Proficiency in welding processes: GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, MMAW
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Current Working at Heights and Confined Spaces tickets (must be in date)
• Manual driver’s licence
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Sound understanding of WHS requirements
