We are currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with proven experience working across stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium fabrication.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabrication, welding, assembly and general boilermaker duties across a range of projects. You will be expected to work to a high standard, read and interpret drawings, and complete work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld stainless steel, mild steel and aluminum
- Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Measure, cut, fit and assemble components accurately
- Perform MIG, TIG and/or other relevant welding processes
- Complete fabrication and finishing work to a high standard
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Meet production deadlines and quality requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have proven industry experience as a Boilermaker and demonstrate strong fabrication and welding skills.
Essential requirements:
- Relevant Boilermaker/Welding trade qualification
- Proven experience in stainless steel fabrication
- Proven experience working with mild steel
- Proven experience working with aluminum
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable work ethic and good attendance
- Ability to work safely and efficiently both independently and within a team
