Middlemount Golf and Country Club is located in the heart of Central Queensland, in the thriving mining town of Middlemount. The Role
The Role – Bar Manager
The Bar Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of the Club's hospitality and customer service operations during the allocated management shift, including bar and gaming operations, staff supervision, stock and purchasing, cash controls, functions and events, customer service, compliance and general venue operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
·Manage the Club's hospitality and service operations during the allocated management shift.
·Open and close the venue and take responsibility for completion of daily opening and closing procedures.
·Supervise, manage and allocate duties to bar and hospitality employees.
·Provide direction and support to employees during service and respond to operational and customer service issues as required.
·Train and assist new employees in relation to Club procedures, customer service standards and daily operations.
·Assist with staff allocation and rostering requirements.
·Manage cash registers, including opening tills, cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation.
·Manage bar stock, including monitoring stock levels, receiving deliveries, storage, stock control and ordering requirements.
·Maintain appropriate standards of presentation, cleanliness and customer service throughout the Club's hospitality areas.
·Oversee the operation of the Club's gaming facilities during the allocated shift.
·Ensure Responsible Service of Gambling requirements and the Club's responsible gambling procedures are followed.
·Ensure Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements and relevant Club procedures are followed.
·Assist with the planning, organisation and delivery of Club functions, sporting events and community events.
·Monitor equipment and facilities and report or coordinate responses to maintenance, safety and operational issues.
·Conduct a detailed management handover with the other Bar Manager between shifts.
·Communicate staffing, stock, customer, gaming, functions, maintenance and operational matters during management handovers.
·Liaise with the Club's General Manager regarding staffing, operations, compliance and significant operational matters.
·Ensure that the Club's policies, procedures, workplace safety requirements and relevant legislation are followed during the allocated management shift.
