Are you an experienced visual impact assessment practitioner looking for an opportunity to innovate and elevate visualisation using leading edge tech such as 3D modelling and gaming engines?
Would you like to play a role in shaping our visual impact assessment and management service offering?
Are you looking to work on big projects across the renewables, mining, energy or infrastructure sectors?
This could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
As advisors to private and government organisations in environmental assessment and approvals, planning and environmental management, we’re committed to staying at the forefront of our field, continuously improving our skills and knowledge, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Through our projects and working within our communities, we’re proactive in pursuing opportunities which make a difference.
If you’ve got visual impact assessment experience and the projects you work on matter to you, EMM is the place for you.
You’ll work alongside our Geospatial Analysts and Landscape Architect, and closely with environmental scientists, planners and other technical teams, on renewable energy, mining and infrastructure projects. It’s a chance to bring new approaches to visual impact assessment, use leading technology to lift our visualisation work, and help shape where our service offering goes next.
We offer flexibility that works for you and hybrid working options that mean this role could be based at any of the following locations: Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne.
Here’s what you can expect in your new role with EMM:
- Lead visual impact assessments for community-changing renewable energy, mining and infrastructure projects, from field-based viewpoint analysis and photomontage preparation to reporting.
- Prepare high-quality visual impact assessment reports and respond to community and regulatory submissions.
- Bring new technology and ideas to our visualisation work.
- Help guide the growth of our visual impact assessment and management service.
- Work with specialist teams across EMM to identify new opportunities.
Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact:
- A tertiary qualification in landscape architecture, planning or a related field.
- Extensive consulting experience in visual impact assessments, including preparing assessment reports.
- Up-to-date working knowledge of visual impact assessment guidelines in NSW, Queensland and Victoria, and current best practice.
- Experience in glint and glare and shadow flicker assessments.
- Experience preparing photomontages, with 3D visualisation or gaming engine experience desirable.
- Proficiency in WindPro, Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Photoshop), SketchUp and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, with experience leading clients through challenging visual impacts that need mitigation.
- Strong project management skills, including working to budget and schedule, and managing yourself and others.
- Ability to use your networks, internally and externally, to grow our client base.
- Respect: you listen and understand others’ views and work together to create opportunities for all.
- Integrity: you do what is right for your stakeholders to deliver what is true as opposed to popular.
- Humility: you understand the strength of humility and that no one is bigger than the team.
We look forward to hearing from you! When you submit your application, look out for our email confirming safe receipt and important information regarding next steps.
