Job Opportunity
OIGIS is seeking a highly capable and proactive Executive Support Officer (APS6) to provide high-level executive and administrative support to senior leaders across the organisation.
Supporting the Assistant Inspector-General, Legal and Assurance, the Assistant Inspector-General, Agency Oversight, and the Executive Director, Enterprise Management Unit, you will play a key role in enabling effective leadership and organisational outcomes in a complex and sensitive environment.
Working with a high degree of independence, you will manage competing priorities, coordinate workflows, provide strategic administrative support, and build strong working relationships across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive and administrative support to senior executives.
- Manage complex calendars, correspondence, inboxes and workflow activities.
- Coordinate business area taskings, deliverables and reporting requirements.
- Prepare high-quality briefs, correspondence, submissions and meeting papers.
- Support governance processes and organisational reporting activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of executives.
- Exercise discretion and sound judgement when managing sensitive information.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and administrative practices.

Experience supporting SES officers or working within the APS, national security, oversight, integrity or regulatory environments will be highly regarded.
This position is based in Canberra. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements may be negotiated; however, the majority of work is expected to be undertaken from the Canberra office.
